Submit Your Story!


One of depression's greatest abilities is how it can make us feel so isolated from the world. It lets us think that noone understands what we are going through, and that we are in this alone.

But there are ways to conquor this! By reading other people's stories and talking to people with depression who *do* understand, this helps us tell depression to "back off!". This is why I have this page up for you to tell your story, which will be posted on this site for others to read and relate to. By posting your story you will be helping others realize that they are not alone and help them to cope with their depression!

For now, if you would like to share your story, please send it to me at matt@mental-health-help.com with the following information:

  • (OPTIONAL) Some information to let people know who you are and where you come from: Your First Name, Your Location, Your Diagnosis, Any Medication You're On, and any other info/stats you feel may be relevant.
  • Your story of depression, anxiety or any mental health issues. It is totally up to you what you wish to share. If you have a story of how you were suffering and recovered, that's great! And if you are currently suffering (like most people with depression are to some degree), just tell your story up to now--what you do to cope, how it affects your life, and anything else. The idea is to give people something to read and relate to.
  • If you would like to let other people contact you, there will be a secure form for people to send you a message which will be forwarded to your email address--your email address will never be published on the site.
  • If you have a website or blog and want a link to it from your story, include the URL and name of the site.

Once I receive your submission I will let you know when it is published! I may make slight edits to spelling or grammar if needed.
